I read an advanced reader book called Before I Die, which is about a teenager with terminal cancer that decides to make a list of things to do before she dies. Some of this content may not be appropriate for young audiences. It contained Britsih slang (it was written by a British author), and therefore some of it was hard to comprehend. Overall, I thought it was an okay book, but did not really stand out to me.

I’ve been reading A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway and have found it to be rather slow. It is a war romance novel and much of the book is centered around the relationship between an English nurse and an Italian army lieutenant. The dialougue is hard to understand at times and it is difficult to discern who is speaking.

I’ve read Lamplighter by D.M Cornish. This book is number 2 in a trilogy called the Monster Blood Tattoo. I did not have a chance to read the first book but foung that only a few people from the first book actually traveled in to the next. Lamplighter is a tale of a boy employed with the local emperor as one of his highness many lamplight. they light and protect the path of travelers at night. Rossamund discovers a secret where he is employed, meets a new friends, and an old one. This book has its exciting parts and some slow. What ever is mentioned in this book from the first is explained or can be infered. In the end its a really good read if you’re into fiction.

I just finished reading The Godfather by Mario Puzo. It can be a little confusing, but I would highly recommend it to anyone into classics.
